Minnie is painting the traditional country where she was born known as the “Bubble Community” in the Dumbaral area east of Newry Station. She got her name “Lumai” from the freshwater spring in the area known by the community as “Lumai Lumai” which means “water bubbling up”. Nearby there is an important waterhole for Catfish Dreaming where the fishing is very good.
