This is one of the greatest paintings created by Shorty Jangala focussing on the “Water Dreaming” subject matter related to his ancestral country and its creation. It depicts the efforts of two Jangala rainmakers who sang up a giant storm during the Jukurrpa which joined with another storm, was stolen by a falcon and dropped further west to form a giant soakage. At Pyurru it dug up a giant snake that was created to inhabit the sub-terranean water syetem in the area.
