The Kimberley – Many Voices

The paintings in this exhibition represent artists from five communities in the Kimberley region of northern Western Australia. Art works come from Balgo, (Warlayirti Artists), Halls Creek, (Yarliyl), Fitzroy Crossing, (Mangkaja Arts), Turkey Creek, (Warmun Art Centre) and Kununurra, (Waringarri Artists). They demonstrate the rich diversity of style mirroring the huge diversity of the region.

The artists in this exhibition include many of the great awards winners of Aboriginal arts. The paintings tell of the deep cultural richness the people of the Kimberley have retained and continue to pass down to younger generations.
