‘Ngatijarri Jukurrpa’ Budgerigar Dreaming

This Solo Exhibition by Karen Napaljarri Barnes is the second Solo exhibition at Pandanus Gallery. Karen’s work is much sought after because her painting is colourful, dynamic and joyful. Her subject matter is mostly the birds and animals around her Warlipiri country in the Tanami Desert. Among her totems are Budgerigar, Red Kangaroo and Emu, but this year she had the opportunity to visit the Adelaide Zoo so this exhibition features some animals she encountered there.
